It's here! My Surly Long Haul Trucker! Hooray!
It's going to take some getting used too....the set up is vastly different than my Mtn bike, obviously. Hopefully I'll be able to take it out on the road in a few days.

18.6 miles. Same ol same ol...

20.8 miles. I actually biked somewhere new! Turned right on Rucker instead of the usual left. Up to Charlotte, and over to what was basically downtown Crabapple. All of this is about as rural as you can get before you really head out to the North Fulton boonies. Then east on Mayfield to where it meets up with the library, thru downtown Alpharetta and then to the GW as per usual. It added on a bout 5 miles to the normal route. I would have tried a few of the side roads, just to see where they go, but I left later than I wanted to this afternoon. I have my North Fulton MAp now and will look at exploring up around that area more.
Sun 3.6 miles. More downtown ride with B.
Mon 16.9 miles. The usual ride.

(actually Sat. 2/7) 3.6 miles with B. Downtown and back for RX and *bux. First truly mild day this year, and B's first time on the bike since last Nov.
I lost one of my gloves, by stupidly leaving it on the table at *bux, but that gives me an excuse to get new ones, of course. So I'm heading down to performance today (Sunday) to get new gloves and inquire about them ordering a bike they don't normally carry....ie. the Surly or the Trek. Or if not, if they would assemble a bike if I just brought it ihn, which I woyuldn't think would be a problem....for a price of course.
And hopefully ride today too, but there alot to be done around the house to-day.

Am now deciding between Trek 520 and Surly Long Haul. More Anon
